About Robyn White

Robyn developed her skills by spending over a decade as a lawyer at one of Canada’s top employment and labour boutiques, the last few years as a partner.

She has been involved in hundreds of investigations with private companies, public entities, the police, regulatory bodies and professional organizations. Robyn knows how important empathy, discretion and finality are to the participants involved and to their organizations. She is known for her ability to tenaciously and efficiently “get to the point” while fully appreciating and understanding the different viewpoints of the participants. Throughout her career Robyn has been recognized as an absolute pleasure to work with—she gets her role and understands what is needed from her.

Robyn obtained her LL.B. from the University of Western Ontario in 2008. She is a member of the Law Society of Ontario. Robyn is also a member of the Association of Workplace Investigators (AWI) and holds the AWI-CH distinction. AWI is an international not-for-profit organization dedicated to enhancing the quality of workplace investigations.

Robyn conducts investigations into a wide range of workplace issues, including complaints of sexual harassment, harassment and/or discrimination under applicable human rights legislation, bullying and other forms of workplace misconduct.

Where non-specific concerns exist, Robyn conducts workplace assessments to determine if there are underlying issues or problems that can be addressed through recommendations or that warrant a full investigation.

Robyn provides post-investigation remedial training to groups and customized services to individuals, with a focus on cultural competency, professional boundaries and sensitivity training.

Workplace Training

Robyn has extensive experience speaking about and providing training on workplace investigations and related areas. Most recently, she co-taught a workshop on conducting effective harassment investigations; sat as a member of an expert panel on demeanour evidence and credibility assessments; and presented on violence, harassment and professional boundary issues in the workplace.
